With canal walks, a local pub serving lovely food and easy access to the many splendors of the Brecon Beacons, this hidden gem of a site fits the bill perfectly. My wife & I recently had a 3 night break with our 2 dogs here and we all loved it! Martin made us very welcome and provided local information and advice on our arrival once we'd settled in. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back! -Steve Livermore
Overnight stay to make most of autumnal sunshine. Spacious field with great views, sheep in next field. Good CL facilities, two toilets and a shower and individual pitch EHU and water. Direct access to canal tow path. we did a lovely 5 mile circular walk, both rural and canalside stopping at Goytre Wharf for coffee on route. Short cycle down deserted lane for supper at the Horseshoe Inn. Beautiful Keepers Pond and access to good walks less than 20 mins away. Friendly contact with Martin the site owner
We absolutely loved this fairly new CL site. It had everything we could have wished for. Martin was the most welcoming of owners, who came out on his bicycle to guide us in when we made a slight navigation error and overshot his lane and crossed the wrong humpback bridge over the canal. He also popped over for a friendly chat halfway through our stay. This was the most tranquil site of all the 26 CLs we have stayed at, with the advantages of electricity and water supply on every pitch, nicely short mown grass, with outstanding and expansive natural views which provided great opportunities for seeing nesting swallows, Red Kites, and Heron directly from our pitch, plus offering the benefits of canalside views and wonderful walks. Martin also directed us to the incredibly good value Star Inn, which had an extensive menu of great pub fare. This is one site we shall definitely come back to.
